11:07 am - 9/11 watching the coverage from 9-11-01. its weird. its been five years, i know it happened, i watched it happen the first time around while at school that day in disbelief, it was a strange eerie heavy mood that day and weeks after. But still i find myself watching it today in disbelief and awe, its like something from a movie and the amount of firefighters/police etc that didn't think twice about going in trying to get people out. just wow.

08:58 am So here's the story for last night. Brad had bowling and we tagged along and got home around 9:30 and he decides to go to grocery shopping although we don't really need awhole lot and it can wait until later in the weekend like he normally does and just goes right after work. Well, since he didn't need much around 10:30 I start wondering why it's taking as long as it usually does for him to go around 11 I start thinking I should call to see whats up 11:20 I get a phone call from him. He's saying, uh I didn't get groceries.... I ran into an old friend the one I use to go storm chasing with... and my first thought was is he going to say he went storm chasing? there aren't any storms around to really chase.... but all that comes out is... um...ok.... and he goes we ended up at a bar I hope thats ok. i said well its going to have to be because i can't do anything about it now. he's like you aren't mad are you and i just told him it's not worth being mad about getting mad isn't going to do anything or help any. and he said he'd be leaving soon so he could get some sleep and stuff since he had to get up at 3:30 this morning to go to work. In my opinion it was pretty quiet when he called like no noise in the background not normal for a bar. So, I stay up and watch some tv thinking he's going to home in the next half hour and nope the half hour comes and goes and no sign of brad 12:30 rolls around still no sign of brad so finally I give up and go to bed I got to get up at 7 to get Hailey up and get her ready for school. I still don't know what time he got home, but he got here and tried to be all cuddly with me. Ugh, I don't know I'm a little upset about it. I think if things were reversed he would have been mad at me.

09:17 am It's Hailey's first day of pre-school. I just dropped her off a little bit ago. I wanted to make sure she got settled in and interested in playing with stuff because before they actually begin class they have a half hour of playtime. Well first she asked if I wanted to do a puzzle with her so I watched and helped her with some of the odd shaped pieces that she was having a little more trouble with fitting in and then she moves onto the next puzzle and says "you can go now". So much for her being upset when I leave which is very comforting to know that she wont be throwing a fit the whole time I'm gone like she used to when she was younger. I guess going to school a couple days a week and working on the weekends have helped in that aspect. Got to go get some dishes done and start on laundry now while I have some free time.

11:06 am So, I haven't really posted since I announced I'm pregnant. I 24 weeks along now and have found out that we're having another little girl. I haven't put much thought into a name yet, but Brad says he likes the name Cristal Brook. Brad and I also went and got married July 7th, nothing fancy. We're thinking of later having the cermony with family and friends when we can afford it. As for Hailey we signed her up for preschool, Brad decided to put her in the 4 year olds class and seeing that she'll be 4 in a little over 2 months I figured it wasn't a bad choice for him to have made. She starts on the 23rd. I hope she adjusts well. I know she'll probably talk all the other little kids' heads off, but she doesn't like when I leave her with other people she hasn't really been around before. Also, I'm worried about her not wanting to listen and her increasing attitude, and knowing that its my fault because I'm with her pretty much all the time just me and her. Its stressful and makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong when she is being stubborn and misbehaving. The only time I get away from her is when I'm working on the weekends and lately work has been so stressful also, we've been busier then crap the past 3 weekends. We had extended hours last weekend for a huge sale that wasn't really a sale we just brought in more merchandise but we didn't stop, no one really got a break and by the time Sunday came around we were all getting pretty tired of it and stressed that we were at each other throats. I hope that if they ever do that type of "sale" again they start preparing for it a little early next time and plan a little better. Sale people from the other stores that came to help didn't know and for whatever reason couldn't grasp the way we do things at our stores and created even more work for me in the office then I already had piling up on me and we had one lady come help us in the office for 4-5 hours on Sat out of the 9 hours and that was all the help we got and we really could have used more. Brad's still working alot like usual and it's really getting to me, I don't know if its the pregnacy hormones or what. Oh well. I think thats enough for now.

01:03 am Brad had vacation this past week. Monday morning we left for Canada and arrived in toronto monday afternoon. we took the subway and walked around the university part of the city for a bit then went to the cn tower. tuesday we spent most of the day at the centerville and surrounding islands of lake ontario. then tuesday night we headed to niagara falls. our hotel was like two blocks away from the falls and had floor to ceiling windows in the room so we had a great view of them. we went on the maid of the mist and did the journary behind the falls and that sorts on wednesday. thursday we headed back to the states, spent the afternoon on the american side of the falls. it was a good time, and it was beautiful, and it was peaceful. you see the gas prices for the first time there and are like oh my god because its 95 cents then you realize oh wait thats per liter not gallon and i figured what it would be and it's like $3.75 per gallon. kind of high... a $1.50 more then here. also another thing that caught us off was the price of meat when we went out, $30 for a steak dinner. we only went to 2 places TGI Fridays and the epicurean. The Epicurean is a nicer place so I figured maybe it was just because it was a nicer restaurant, but at TGI Fridays? I don't know maybe because it's a tourist area? A couple of you on my friends list are from Canada and I hope you don't have to pay that much for a steak or ribs everytime you go out to eat. Maybe we'll get to go back eventually or visit a new area of Canada. Hailey had a good time, I think her favorite activities were chasing the birds and playing in the sand when we were on the islands.

08:10 pm Its been a busy past week. Work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday because monday was a holiday. Well I didn't go to work Sunday actually, I went to my grandparents for Hailey's birthday. It was fairly boring for me, but Hailey had fun and that is all that matters. Monday I went into work and left at 5 for trick-or-treating, which was Hailey's birthday. It's still weird to think she's 3 now. She dressed up at a care bear for trick-or-treating. We only went around to like 15 houses at the most. One place gave her a huge hersey chocolate, I mean like king size or whatever they call it.
Saturday is Brad's birthday. I haven't gotten him anything yet. He says not to get him anything, but I'm worried it's going to be like when girls say oh don't worry about it then get it trouble when you show up empty handed. haha. I might just get him a card and leave it at that though.
I have a few pictures that I got from my friend Bridget that I want to put up sometime soon, once I get the time to put them in my photo alblum thing and make a post for them.
I feel like there is more that I wanted to write about, but can't think of it now. Oh well. Current Mood: cheerful

11:20 pm I tried to make sugar cookies earlier today. Everything was going great I mixed together the butter, sugar, vanilla, baking power, milk and salt then realize we have no eggs. So, the process came to a screeching halt. The batter is now hanging out in my fridge waiting for an egg and some flour and some heated baking time. Silly me, I even looked in the fridge before I started and it just didn't click that there simply was not a carton containing eggs in the corner where they normal chill. Current Mood: peaceful

11:08 pm I have to laugh about the NBA coming out with a dress code. Banning "bling bling" haha. The one and only time you were ever hear me use that stupid phrase. Also, the players now need to wear dress shirts and slack for general business my guess is that means the press conferences after the games which yeah totally agree it's the way it use to be and should be. The one thing I don't agree with is the players that are sitting on the bench not in uniform need to wear a sports coat. Ehhh.
And my favorite quote while reading about this: ''I feel like if they want us to dress a certain way, they should pay for our clothes.'' -- Allen Iverson
Yeah, lets spends millions more to dress all you spoiled brats. Current Mood: amused
